I'm working in my scraproom. Aidan often comes in and stands in my chair behind me, and watches over my shouder as I work. I love those moments. Just a few minutes ago, he said,
"You're the best Mommy I ever could have."
"Aw, Aidan!" I gushed. "You always say the sweetest things to me. Why are you so sweet?"
He answered, "Because I love you."
"You know how to love me just right. How'd you ever learn to be so loving? Did you learn by watching me love you?"
"No. I think I just learned it in my heart."
Aidan.
Six years old.
Mine, all mine.
